Hey Andrew - I've actually been considering the idea of opening the blog up to other contributors. I'm also working on sharpening the focus a bit and planning a design change. Although, the design change may have to wait a bit as I've got a lot on my plate. (Including a darn HD failure today which set me two weeks back.)

BTW, Tom or Jim is fine...but on weekends I prefer Bill.

And I have zero idea why I just wrote "Tom" instead of "Jim." Scratch that, reverse it. My most sincere apologies, Jim. :)

Great question, Tom. Running multiple blogs is tough and getting rid of one is even tougher, as they're all like your babies, right?

My first question is: Why do you have the SevenActions blog? Did you create it to make money? To set goals for yourself and keep a record of them? If it's purely for you, then honestly, who cares if you have 0 comments, 0 subscribers, etc. It's all for you. If you make money and/or friends in the process, great.

As for only posting 3 times a week, uh, do you know how many blogs barely keep up with 1 post a week!?!? 3 a week is definitely decent.

The way I see it, if it's a true burden right now and you don't enjoy doing it, then get rid of it. Or convert it to a total resource site with no blog updates. Done. If you still like it, just don't have the time to dedicate to it, then I suggest either opening it up to a few more contributors, or maybe setting a theme type schedule. Post 2 or 3 times a week tops (which is what you're doing now), but make every Monday a general post and then every Wed or Thurs is your weekly action post, where you rotate between 1 of the 7 actions you talk about. That way you're a bit more focused and you're still contributing regularly.

Thanks Cath - This question is predicated by the fact that I am managing several blogs and had anticipated dropping the slower performing sites early on. Two months is not a lot of time, I agree. But as Tom pointed out in his comment, time is valuable. Investing several more months into a site would require me to believe the potential is there.

But your other point about sticking with the ones I enjoy posting on makes a lot of sense. I thought this site would be very enjoyable, but I think I struggle with the same lack of direction that is evident on the site (makes sense...I write it).

Right now, I am considering a way of bringing focus to the site and making it more of a pleasure to operate. It would also require a face lift. I will continue to post on the blog for the next several weeks and I begin working on this new plan for the site. If I believe the change will be successful, it's life will be spared.

Hi - It is my first time here, so I can't comment on the quality of the blog. But, you've only had it a couple of months. That isn't long enough to make a decision on how well it's going to do. As you have a few other blogs, I would say choose the ones you enjoy posting on and ditch the rest.

Hey Tom, I agree that time saved would be worth more than the blog itself. I did not monetize the blog until 6 days ago, so the revenue has been insignificant. The only real value to anyone else for this blog is if they saw a way to convert it into something of value.

The theme is nothing special, even though it's "premium". Some of the content is good, but it's not enough to stand alone. The domain definitely isn't going to sell the site. Bottomline: selling the blog is about as likely as me selling my body (both are functional, but not in high demand).

Right now I am considering a couple other ideas to improve the site and try to save it. I just don't want to spend too much time on it as my attention is too broadly spread already.
